Hooray! We will be 56 on 9 Aug this year, young for a nation with lofty aspirations to make our city most livable and harmonious. A shout out to all Singaporeans – let us come together and do a 5.6KM virtual nation walk during the month of August to commemorate Singapore’s 56th birthday.
It has been another challenging period that has kept us on our toes but come what may, a special day like this should not deter us from doing something meaningful for our country as long as we abide to safe distancing measures while outside. For extra precaution, you can even choose to do the walk on treadmill in the comfort of your home. Indoor or outdoor, it’s perfectly fine with us. So, let’s do it. One for all; all for one - Majulah Singapura!
Go FREE or Preferential Fees Whichever Comes First
The standard sign-up fee is S$9 per person which includes a specially carved ‘SG56 Nation Walk’ coin memento. Since it’s SG56, first 5,000 participants who sign up will enjoy free or preferential fees. Sign up is based on first-come-first-served until all 5,000 slots are filled and only then, normal sign-up fee of S$9 will kick-in. Grab the first available chance to sign up now!
About The Virtual Walk
This is a virtual walk at your own pace and own time within Singapore. Choose a safe venue for your walk. Remember to keep a safe distance from others and do wear your mask during your walk. Simply clock your distance on your GPS device and submit the result to the link provided.
Commencement Period For Virtual Nation Walk
The virtual nation walk will run for one month from 1st to 31 August 2021. Select a day for the walk and the distance is 5.6KM only.
Race Entitlement
All participants will get our limited edition SG56 medallion as part of their race entitlements. Simply add-on S$12 for our uniquely designed red hot event tee and S$10 for our 3-layer re-usable mask to complete 2021 national day collection.
E-cert will be issued to every participant who has completed the nation walk.

Self collection is FREE. You will be notified on the schedule to collect your entitlement once they are ready. Kindly drop an email to info@ideas-room.com for enquiry or to make arrangement for a revised collection time.

* To reduce wastage and support sustainability initiatives, please note that the entitlements are only sent for production after the end of the event (at the end of that particular month). An email will be sent out to your registered email when the entitlements are ready for collection.

This is a Virtual Walk which means you can choose any route to start your run. However, this route needs to be in Singapore. You need to have a GPS-tracking running app and if you don’t have one, please download your preferred app.

FAQs
1. How many categories are there in this virtual event?
A: There is just one category and it is a walk event covering 5.6KM distance. It is not time-based but a walk at your own pace till completion. The whole intent is to enjoy the walk with family. You need to record your walk on your GPS device and submit the result to the link provided for our verification. If you are walking with your family, submit one result will do.
2. Is it mandatory to do walk outside?
A: We fully understand the current situation and safety is paramount. Our participants can choose to do the walk either indoor or outdoor. Just take a screenshot of your result on the treadmill and submit to the link provided.
3. How many times do I need to walk?
A: Yes, you need to do just one walk and the duration to complete the 5.6KM walk is from 1st to 31st August 2021. You can choose any venue in Singapore for the virtual walk.
4. When and how do I receive my race entitlement?
A: There are two options to get your race entitlement after the walk. You can choose to pick up at our office or request to be mailed to you by normal postage. There is a postage charge of S$2 for the latter arrangement. The race entitlement will be ready for self-collection or mail out in the second half of September 2021.
5. What is in the race entitlement?
A: A SG56 Nation Walk coin memento and e-Certificate are part of the race entitlement. The celebratory event tee is an add-on at S$12, the SG56 limited edition mask is an add-on at S$10 and the SG56 Red/White wine bundle is an add-on at $56, if you wish to have one.
