STAY HOME, STAY SAFE!

We are double 5 and it’s game on!  This is SG55 10-Day Challenge which comes in two editions.  The ‘Workout Edition’ comprises of push-up, burpee and sit-up with each workout counting to the symbolic number 55 and the ‘Run Edition’ comprises of 5.5KM or 55KM run.  You must be wondering, why 10-day?  Simply put, it is 5+5 and we are 55. 

 

Workout Edition

In this edition, you just choose one exercise type to kick start your workout followed by another different type on the second day and rotate the exercise on each day.  That said, it is one workout a day for the next 10 days.  For each workout a day, you’ll earn one star and when the 10-day challenge is finally concluded, you’ll earn the accolade to be named ‘Star Challenger’.  The adrenaline-driven one can go the extra mile by attempting all three different workouts in a day to earn 3 stars for 10 days consecutively to be named ‘Superstar Challenger’ as bragging rights.  Star Challenger or Superstar Challenger, you are already a shining star just like the five beckoning stars on the flag of Singapore.

 

Run Edition

This particular edition is for those who prefer running only.  It can be an individual participation or as a team of two or four.  For individual participation, the run distance ranges from 5.5KM (one time) or 55KM (cumulative).  For team participation, it is 55KM (cumulative for team of 2) or 110Km (cumulative for team of 4).  Those who have completed 5.5KM distance will be named ‘Star Runner’ and 55KM or 110KM finishers will be named ‘Superstar Runner or Team’.

What are considered proper workouts?

We will have a short video link which demonstrates the proper way for each workout without you getting injured.  Please follow the instructions from the coach below.

IMPORTANT NOTES

  1. Participants need to submit a low-res video clip of each completed workout to the given link before 2359 hours on each day for the next 10 days and upon successful verification, star or stars will be awarded accordingly. The record will be uploaded to the activity dashboard at 1200 hours on the next following day.

  2. No confirmation email will be sent after your daily submission of your workout. Refer to the activity dashboard after 1200 hours on the next following day and send us a mail at info@ideas-room.com only if there are missing submissions.

  3. If all goes well, the medal will be posted out in the month of July and before Singapore’s National Day on 9 August 2020.

  4. The registration fee includes complimentary postage to those who live in Singapore only. Postage fee of S$10 will be levied on participants residing in the rest of the countries in Asia.

  5. There will be no refund after registration has been confirmed.

  6. The registration rate excludes 6% of payment gateway and processing fee.

ACTIVITY DASHBOARD

This is a Virtual Challenge which means you can choose any venue (preferably within the safe comfort of your home) to start your 10-day challenge.  

Following are steps to guide you through the challenge:

  1. Go to our website and register

  2. Set your camera into low resolution for video and camera

  3. Record your challenge on daily basis. For the Run Edition, take a snapshot of your GPS running mobile application and upload the picture

  4. Upload your video recording to the Upload Link daily before 2359hrs

  5. You could verify your upload and the number of STARs that you have earned via the activity dashboard

  6. Complete the 10-day challenge and be invited to the mass workout on 8 Aug 2020.

FAQs

(Workout Edition)

  • What should I do after I have signed up?

You can get ready to kickstart your first workout on 7 July 2020 for the 10 days.  And you can choose either push-up, burpee or sit-up to start your first challenge.  Your second day challenge has to be different from the first day which you can rotate around. 

 

  • Must I do 55-repetition continuously in one workout?

If your current physical condition can allow you to do 55-repetition in one go, please go for it.  Otherwise, you can do it in few parts.  You can take a breather and then continue.  As long it adds up to 55, it will be counted.  You will pause on video for break and resume when you are able to continue.  You can take a longer rest before resuming and all is done, proceed to submit your video clip to us.

 

  • If I skip a day during the 10-day challenge, what will happen?

Though it is a 10-day challenge, we understand sometimes you may have personal reasons to skip a day.  However, you will need to submit two different workouts (one for the missing day and the other is for the current day) to stay to be able to continue to earn the maximum number of stars awarded to you.   

       

  • What are considered proper workouts?

We will have a short video link which demonstrates the proper way for each workout without you getting injured. Please follow the instructions from the coach.

 

  • How do you ensure authenticity of each submitted workout?

Honesty is always the best policy and we expect our participants to abide to that too.  We do check on the submitted video clips and if we find any discrepancy, we reserve the right not to award any star or stars to the concerned participant.  Our decision remains final.  

   

  • When do I receive the medal after completing the 10-day challenge?

If all goes well, the medal will be posted out in the month of July and before Singapore’s National Day on 9 August 2020.

  • What should I do after I have signed up?

  • Do I need to complete the run edition in all ten days?

The run edition is opened for individual or team participation which comes in 5.5KM, 55KM or 110KM distance.  5.5KM is just a one-time submission which you can do so within the 10-day duration.  The 55KM or 110KM distance works on cumulative basis over the 10-day period.  Individual or team completing the 55KM or 110KM distance has 10 days from 7 July to 16 July to complete which means once the accumulated run distance is met, the challenge has been achieved.       

     

  • When do I receive the medal after completing the 10-day challenge?

If all goes well, the medal will be posted out in the month of July and before Singapore’s National Day on 9 August 2020.
